Insurance pays per session; Rula pays the therapist.

Patients book in-network therapy or psychiatry through rula.com, about $15 a session on average with insurance, or $150 cash for individual therapy. Rula handles credentialing, billing and support, and pays contracted providers every other Friday, even on no-shows, late cancels or denied claims. Joining is free for providers. Rula does not publish its cut of each payment.

    Therapists are contractors, not staff.

    Rula's provider FAQ calls providers independent contractors with no minimum hours or caseload. They supply their own malpractice insurance and are paid per completed session.

    Corporate roles are salaried with benefits. Clinical work through Rula is contract work: flexible, but no benefits or salary floor.

    Rula's careers page offers work from anywhere in the US except Hawaii, with pay and benefits it says are not geo-locked. All 32 open roles on its Ashby board are marked remote; some sales roles cover a region.
