01 · The business

Free to start, then paid by plan and by usage.

Supabase gives developers a Postgres database with login, file storage and serverless functions. Plans run from free to $25 and $599 a month, then compute, storage and data transfer are billed on top. Enterprise is priced by contract. The code can also be self-hosted for free, so the business is selling the managed version.

  1. 01
    Good

Raised $150 million and bought Turso in the same week.

Oct 2, 2026: $150M led by GIC with CapitalG, IronArc and SquarePeg, plus a deal for Turso, a SQLite database firm. Turso's founder now leads agentic services.

The money is being spent on the agent bet, not just runway. Expect hiring around agent databases and Turso's existing customers.

    Pulse 2.0, Oct 2, 2026; Supabase blog
  2. 02
    Good

    Valuation doubled in eight months.

    $500M Series F at $10.5B post-money, led by GIC, after a $5B Series E in Oct 2025 and $2B in Apr 2025.

Investors are paying up for growth. A higher price helps staff whose grants came earlier, and makes new grants pricier to grow from.

    IT Brief, Jun 8, 2026
  3. 03
    Neutral

The October money was filed as more of the Series F.

A Sept 22 Form D amendment lifts the May 2026 equity offering from $500M to $650.0M, same first-sale date, 29 investors.

That suggests the $150M was sold on Series F terms, not at a new price. Our read, not stated by the company.

    SEC Form D/A, Sep 22, 2026
  4. 04
    Neutral

The Series E ended up 43% bigger than announced.

Announced as $100M in Oct 2025; a Feb 2026 Form D amendment shows $143.1M sold to 14 investors.

Likely the community allocation plus late additions. Announced round sizes here can understate what was raised.

  5. 05
    Watch

    Customer apps are leaking data.

UpGuard found about 16,000 Supabase-hosted databases exposing names, addresses, phone numbers and passwords, as reported Sep 25, 2026.

The fault is mostly in how fast-built apps are set up, not a Supabase breach. But it is a reputational and possibly regulatory risk tied to its core customer base.

  6. 06
    Watch

Growth leans on other companies' coding agents.

The CEO named Claude Code as the largest source of new databases in 2026, with OpenAI's Codex also a driver.

If those agents start defaulting to a different backend, growth could slow fast. Partnerships with agent makers matter a lot here.

    No revenue figure, ever.

Neither the Series F nor the October release gave revenue or ARR. Outside estimates exist but are not company figures.

You cannot check the valuation against sales. Ask in the offer process what the revenue multiple and the latest share price are.

The signals, and which way they push.

  1. Tailwind
    Agents are the new users.

About 70% of new databases come from agents or AI tools, and the company adds 4 million databases a month.

  2. Tailwind
    Flush with cash.

$650M of equity sold in 2026 alone, on top of over $1B raised through June, with a sovereign fund leading.

About 16,000 customer databases were found exposing personal data in Sept 2026.

09 · Bold predictions

Where Supabase ends up, if we had to bet.

Our calls, not facts. Each one is tied to something that already happened, so you can judge the reasoning.

  1. 1

Supabase is a listed company by 2031.

    Coin flip 50%IPO

It has raised over $1B and now runs staff share sales, the usual step before a listing. But no filing is reported and it publishes no revenue, which a listing would force.

    Pulse 2.0; SEC EDGAR
  2. 2

A cloud giant or Databricks buys Supabase.

    Long shot 16%M&A

Databricks paid about $1B for Neon, but Supabase is now valued at $10.5B and is buying companies itself. A sale at that price would be one of the largest database deals ever.

    CNBC, Jun 4, 2026
  3. 3

Nearly every new Supabase database is created by an agent.

    Likely 72%AI

Agents already make about 70% of new ones. It is building agent compute, app MCP servers and Turso's cheap per-agent databases.

    Pulse 2.0; Supabase blog
  4. 4

Big enterprises, not hobby apps, bring in most of Supabase's money.

    Coin flip 50%Products

Multigres, OrioleDB and Okta-managed MCP access target large customers. But the company's growth story is still told in sign-ups and databases, not contracts.

    Supabase Select 2026 recap
  5. 5

Supabase stays the default backend in the top AI coding tools.

    Coin flip 50%Competition

Claude Code is its largest source of new databases today. Rivals backed by Databricks and the clouds will fight for that default.
