Deutsche Telekom picked it for sovereign AI clouds.
SDxCentral, Oct 21, 2026Announced Oct 21, 2026: vCluster gives each DT customer its own private AI cloud on DT's Nvidia DSX stack. The first customer is an unnamed German carmaker; DT expects to go from about 500 to 10,000+ GPUs.
A big-name reference for European sovereign AI. The 10,000-GPU figure is DT's expectation, not a done deal.

Builds on Nvidia's now open-source Run:ai.
vCluster Labs release via TechIntelPro, Oct 14, 2026In Oct 2026 it launched managed Run:ai clusters built on Nvidia's newly open-sourced Run:ai, needing no commercial Run:ai license.
Close to Nvidia is a strength, but Nvidia giving away more of the stack could also shrink the space for paid layers.

Moved down to bare metal.
vCluster Labs, Mar 17, 2026; TechIntelPro, Oct 9, 2026vMetal, launched at Nvidia GTC in March 2026, discovers, provisions and repurposes physical GPU servers from one control plane. Stacks, generally available in Oct 2026, package AI services per tenant.
The product line now runs from raw racks to AI workloads. That is a wider surface to build and support with a small company.
